The title 'Experience Heaven" is misleading. There is no story about a little boy's trip to heaven. There is propaganda regarding life after life and explanations (according to Sri Vishwanath) regarding almost every religion except Christianity. I kept looking for a reason for the title and never did find it.Product details

The Story of Nachiketa A Guide To What Happens After Death Sri Vishwanath 9781520905808 Books Reviews
I always take some notes when I read inspirational material and this is what I've done also with the reading of this book.
My interest in this book was immediate when it started to show the relationship between sound and the creation process.
If you wish to be consciously creating your present life circumstances then this book should be on the must read list.
I have long been aware that the unwanted and annoying advertisements that pop up during an interesting TV program lose their impact when the sound of the add is muted, even though the vision of the add remains it's not an annoyance anymore. The reason is the power over me is lost when there is no accompanying sound.
If you are like me have you wondered why the volume is always louder than the main program you watch? The advertisers know the relationship between sound volume and their product acceptance.
I studied Eckankar in the past and learnt then of the importance of sound and doing exercises in order to strengthen the sound current.
With sound as the basis of all creation, ours included, this book contains the knowledge to enable a closer connection to the self and also with many valuable exercises included.
It's a story initially about a pupil, Nachiketa, and his enlightenment by the lord of death who is called Yama. Nachiketa wanted to know what happens to human beings after death, and Yama was not pleased as this had never been revealed before. But because of Nachiketa's absolute sincerity he does relent and imparts great learning to the student, with sound being at the foundation of everything created.
Quotes from the book,
"Sounds become words and words become thoughts and thoughts manifest into external objects."
"Before the sun, the moon and the earth, before the stars or the comets free long before time was ever born I was, I am and I shall always be."
Just this one book if studied and practiced can release you from karma, the law of cause and effect.
It is a book that I will read and re-read, and practice the exercises also, as from the very first read I felt my awareness and my vibration increase markedly with the sound current becoming very strong and powerful.
Major waste. Waste of time, waste of money, waste of space, I could go on, but it would be a waste effort!!!
Experience Heaven
A little boy's amazing story of his trip to heaven by Sri Vishwanath
Vajashrava, lived 5000 years ago, in sacred place. This place was in southern India and he had a son named Nachiketa. They gave away every possession they owned to attain the divine grace of God. His boy watched and agreed. But the point is that we are to also, sacrifice all we love to honor God.
Thus his little boy asked and begged to be put to death in honor of God. Vajashrava did just that with the belief that he will honor God first.
The lord of death was YAMA. This was the first man to die and late become the Lord of Death. Since Yama was gone for three days Nachiketa was waiting outside for him. The boy had no food or water. Excited, Nachiketa greeted Yama and Yama loved the boy's courage and curiosity.
Yama said it is not time for you thus sent him back.
Before sent back he was granted three wishes
1. That his father not be angry with the boy and not recognize the boy. It was granted.
2. Teach me the sacrificial fire when performed gives me my place in heaven the boy asked. It was granted and named after Nachiketa.
3. The boy wanted to know if death exists or not...and Yama could not answer or grant the boy. Instead he asked for wisdom that he not love worldly things.
The boy only asked for knowledge about what happens after death, knowing he can have immortality. It is the boys only wish.
Yama says, "I am please with your sincerity and boldness, Nachiketa to enquire about "that one thing" which even the most intelligent people avoid in pursuit of personal passions. Your curiosity and sacrifice to give up everything for this priceless knowledge is noteworthy.
Yama, tells the boy the secret that what dies with death is not worthy to be mourned and that which does not die with death is worth paying attention to. What we need to understand is that in this story is the destruction is nothing but going back to its source. But what is the source to which one goes back?
We have three things to consider to understand this
* The Sun
* Thought about the Sun
* and the word Sun
*They are all connected.
"You cannot perceive the external world of objects without thoughts and you can't think of without words. The word has to exist first before the thought.
Then the sound was created before the word so this sound is the first manifestation from "that one thing" and it pervades every object in the universe. It evolves through the correct pronunciation of the free letters A - U -M....(om...om....om).
First we have sound-(matter and or space);
1. Then Touch-Air
2. Then Form - Fire
3. Taste - Water
4. Smell- Earth
The author gives wonderful examples in the form of stories and in the end explains "that one thing." It is in knowing we are intelligent enough to seek the ways of God. Know that there is a beginning and an ending. It has all been here before and if we do not believe it we need to research and find the answers for which we seek.

The book was not the book I thought I was getting, and that may have clouded my judgement, but... I really did
not like the book. The writing was ok but each chapter seemed to be the same as the previous.
The title 'Experience Heaven" is misleading. There is no story about a little boy's trip to heaven. I have not finished reading it yet
OK, this isn't exactly what I expected the book to be, and if you are into religious doctrine and studying then this is the book for you. I was hoping for a story - about a child's trip to heaven and what it was like but lo and behold this book is just page after page of interpreting a religious text - way over the top for what I was looking for. Actually I find the title doesn't fit the book at all and perhaps that's my problem with the book. I don't know if this book came before the "other" book about a child dying and returning but I'm certain that people will read this thinking they are reading the book by the "other" author.
Sadly for me this book was pretty much a waste.
Interesting and somewhat compelling reading...
